E-FLAP #000010 - Joshua Attempts Science/Science, Again

Well Joshua is back with his second installment of  "How Conservatives Can Reclaim Science", and still no science.  When I first read Joshua's second article I didn't think much of it, for he had very little to say about science.  Then after a second, more careful reading, I realized I was mistaken and there is much to dissect.  So what can we learn from his second installment? Well we find out that Theo can count to six, but that is about it.  He first mistake is the claim that his last article was last week, when in fact it was nearly two ago, so I guess Theo can't count past ten.

His latest installment are six rules or thingies, which I will boil down and remove all the meaningless drivel.

1) Science serves no end but itself

1. Science is science, it is not good or bad.  (Very good Joshua, you get a cookie)
2. Science's purpose to increase our knowledge and understandig (WOW two in a row, another cookie)
3. "Human cause global warming could overthrown tomorrow...", well technical true, ya, but I wouldn't bet your two cookies on that, or the rent Joshua.
4. I want to quote this part "We "knew" the world was flat, that it was the centre of the universe, and that it was 5000 to 6000 years old" Well, we have know the Earth was not flat, with scientific certainty since Eratosthenes of Cyrene made the first estimate of the Earth diameter in 240 BCE, that was 2256 years ago.  Oh and for claiming the Earth is the center of the Universe and the Earth is only ~6000 years old (aka religious theology claimed this, not Science), would you, Joshua like the very long list of RWNJ morons in North America that still believe this poop?  Some of them are even running for POTUS.  The failure is mounting and it doesn't look good for Joshua.

The more science is done, the more science changes

1. Science leads to more science.  Well yes, Joshua, if it doesn't then you are clearly not sciencing correctly *rolls eyes*
2. Don't like Scientific Consensus,... and I have to quote this  "Do studies showing that it’s wrong!" NO, BAD Joshua, BAD, you just failed miserably.  The correct method is to form a hypothesis based on your observable data.  Take that hypothesis and study it further. Collect more data and test.  Determine methods show that your hypothesis CAN FAIL and see if it does. MOST IMPORTANTLY OF ALL!!! You follow the data to where is leads, not to a predetermined conclusion.  Seriously Theo, do you even science?

Nothing in science is ever truly “settled” 

1. WRONG! Sorry Joshua there are things in Science that are settled and indisputable. We call these thing Scientific Laws.  Like the Law of Gravity, The Laws of Thermodynamics, Newton's Laws of Motion and I will bold and say it THE LAWS OF EVOLUTION!  These are settled, people with sound educations know this, it is only the quacks out there that depute these Laws.  Oh and by the way, Joshua, a scientific law has less mean and value than a Scientific Theory.  I know you didn't suggest or mention this, but I am going to correct the record before you stupidly make that error in the future.

Again Joshua, do you even Science?  The evidence is building that you do not.  Almost time to make a Hypothesis about Joshua (evil grin)

Similarly, a scientist should not be wasting his or her time attacking believers or people who reject evidence. Does someone refusing to get the flu shot make the shot less effective? No! Really Joshua? The Joshua *Dunning-Kurger* Lieblein-Bro, Do you Even Science Hypothesis, and it holds a very important element, it can be verified false with further data and study.  I would truly love to see it proven wrong, and Joshua can easily do it too,... just be learning how to science.

Ok, lets be honest and fair here, I fully understand blocking and censoring people who are rude, use excessive vulgar language, name call and the like.  Hey no problem, those type of people are not interest in debate, dialog or advancing ideas.  To be honest that is the policy here at A Grumpy Hobbit.  Now that being said, I want to make it clear that when I was posting over on Ezra's Rebel Facebook page, I never engaged in name call, insults and nor did I use profanity (well I did say bullshit a few times).  I always remained polite, provide links to back up my claims and ignored peoples taunts and insults.  During my stay there I was called a Communist, a faggot, told to F*** Off, people assumed I was a welfare leach, unemployed,... well you get the idea.  Surprisingly all these rude and vulgar people are still posting over at the Rebel.

I guess I was banned for being disruptive,... you know by being polite and holding a differing opinion that was always back up by verifiable facts.  Or maybe it was the fact that Ezra didn't like it when his lies and propaganda were pointed out?

So I am over at Ezra's Rebel Media Facebook page calling out Ezra on his biased bullshit as usual, and I get ask to provide ten stories where Ezra's E-FLAPs(1).  So I provide a short list of seven topics off the top of my head (no googling, just seven that come to mind at that moment in time)  The list I provide below, pay attention to the one I highlighted.

So i actually take the time to watch the whole video clip, you know, checking my facts and due diligence, making sure my memory of what was said was accurate and that rot,  Not to be out done, Karen doubles down on her stoopid and follows up with this lovely bit, my immediate response follows.

I politely point out that Karen is mistaken, and provide the actual quite from the video.  Wait, it gets better, Karen now insists on tripling down on her drooling STOOPID.

Yup she, she either invent that quote or spliced together two different quotes to make the false one she provided or she has a very serious comprehension problem, and this is AFTER I already provided the exact quote from the video.  I seriously can not tell if she knowingly manufacturing false quotes or if she so mind numbingly stoopid to see her own error, even after the correct quote was provided to her just one post prior *yeah, I am repeating that cause this is so mind numbingly idiotic on her part.

So either Karen

1. Has the reading/listening and comprehension level of a first grader, come on six year olds make these types of mistakes all the time, or
2. She is a bold face liar.

Either option explains perfectly Ezra's target audience. 

Let me tell you this, I am exercising extreme restraint in my writing over there at the Rebel Media Facebook page and here.  One year ago my language and tone would be some what different, and that is putting it politely.

So much stupid, from so many sources, it is impossible to point it all out.  But let us start with my position, so there is no mis-understanding.

1. Draw Muhammad Day (actually held on May 20th), I am totally cool with it.  Just like I have no issue with drawing and mocking Jesus Christ any other Religious icon.  I do it regularly, I have done it in the past.  I reserve to the right to openly mock peoples stupid religious beliefs.  Deal with it!
2. I am not ok with you showing up and shooting up an Art exhibit, even if it is run by RWNJ who would cry rivers of tears if you drew a disparaging picture of Jesus, but are okey-dokey doing to a guy called Muhammad.
3. I am also not ok with how the RWNJ media has spun this story.  Yesterday, the gunmen had explosives and hand grenades.  Today, well, police have announce that wasn't the case.  Now the RWNJ blogosphere is all a buzz that fully automatic AK47s were used.  Ya, I expect that one to be untrue as well.

I do not care one rat's buttock if you are offend by what I say or what I draw, that is your problem, not mine.  I will be critical of the State of Israel using indiscriminate methods that end up killing innocent men, women and children in the occupied territories, that is not Anti-Semitic, that is being critical of a political policy used by the Israeli Government that results in innocent civilian lives, deal with it.  I will be critical of Hamas when they fire from civilian positions with rockets aimed at civilian populations (thankfully, their rockets are so piss poor, they rarely do damage), this is not being Pro-Israeli, this is called being consistent.  I will be critical of Religious RWNJ down south who are predicting the end of world if they are not allowed to discriminate without fear of legal consequence when they decide their choice of religion gives them the right to be arse-holes.

I will mock those who deserve to mocked, I will do so without fear, and I really do not care if you are offend at all.  Oh and if I am not offending someone, somewhere, then I need to up my game.

I hope someone is offend after reading this.
