E-FLAP #000010 - Joshua Attempts Science/Science, Again

Well Joshua is back with his second installment of  "How Conservatives Can Reclaim Science", and still no science.  When I first read Joshua's second article I didn't think much of it, for he had very little to say about science.  Then after a second, more careful reading, I realized I was mistaken and there is much to dissect.  So what can we learn from his second installment? Well we find out that Theo can count to six, but that is about it.  He first mistake is the claim that his last article was last week, when in fact it was nearly two ago, so I guess Theo can't count past ten.

His latest installment are six rules or thingies, which I will boil down and remove all the meaningless drivel.

1) Science serves no end but itself

1. Science is science, it is not good or bad.  (Very good Joshua, you get a cookie)
2. Science's purpose to increase our knowledge and understandig (WOW two in a row, another cookie)
3. "Human cause global warming could overthrown tomorrow...", well technical true, ya, but I wouldn't bet your two cookies on that, or the rent Joshua.
4. I want to quote this part "We "knew" the world was flat, that it was the centre of the universe, and that it was 5000 to 6000 years old" Well, we have know the Earth was not flat, with scientific certainty since Eratosthenes of Cyrene made the first estimate of the Earth diameter in 240 BCE, that was 2256 years ago.  Oh and for claiming the Earth is the center of the Universe and the Earth is only ~6000 years old (aka religious theology claimed this, not Science), would you, Joshua like the very long list of RWNJ morons in North America that still believe this poop?  Some of them are even running for POTUS.  The failure is mounting and it doesn't look good for Joshua.

The more science is done, the more science changes

1. Science leads to more science.  Well yes, Joshua, if it doesn't then you are clearly not sciencing correctly *rolls eyes*
2. Don't like Scientific Consensus,... and I have to quote this  "Do studies showing that it’s wrong!" NO, BAD Joshua, BAD, you just failed miserably.  The correct method is to form a hypothesis based on your observable data.  Take that hypothesis and study it further. Collect more data and test.  Determine methods show that your hypothesis CAN FAIL and see if it does. MOST IMPORTANTLY OF ALL!!! You follow the data to where is leads, not to a predetermined conclusion.  Seriously Theo, do you even science?

Nothing in science is ever truly “settled” 

1. WRONG! Sorry Joshua there are things in Science that are settled and indisputable. We call these thing Scientific Laws.  Like the Law of Gravity, The Laws of Thermodynamics, Newton's Laws of Motion and I will bold and say it THE LAWS OF EVOLUTION!  These are settled, people with sound educations know this, it is only the quacks out there that depute these Laws.  Oh and by the way, Joshua, a scientific law has less mean and value than a Scientific Theory.  I know you didn't suggest or mention this, but I am going to correct the record before you stupidly make that error in the future.

Again Joshua, do you even Science?  The evidence is building that you do not.  Almost time to make a Hypothesis about Joshua (evil grin)

Similarly, a scientist should not be wasting his or her time attacking believers or people who reject evidence. Does someone refusing to get the flu shot make the shot less effective? No! Really Joshua? How about when these morons take their rejection of solid indisputable science and try to market it is alternative medicine by sell people what constitutes nothing more than distilled water?  Or how about when they take their faith and try to get it taught in School Science class rooms? Yes Joshua, Scientist are people, not computers or robots.  I ma not going even go into the long and inglorious history of  Religion blocking Scientific Progress (When was the last time any religious text was updated to reflect reality?)  This is why we adhere to the Scientific Method and INDEPENDENT PEER REVIEW.  To bad you didn't mention that in your article, eh?  Again, do you even Science?  My hypothesis is Joshua will present very little real science in his future articles and I base this hypothesis on the limited data that Joshua has presented and his failure to form cogent arguments and his general lack of understanding of the Scientific Method and Scientific vetting procedures.  I shall call this hypothesis

The Joshua *Dunning-Kurger* Lieblein-Bro, Do you Even Science Hypothesis, and it holds a very important element, it can be verified false with further data and study.  I would truly love to see it proven wrong, and Joshua can easily do it too,... just be learning how to science.

Poopy Pants, that video is high level dumb stoopid moronic poop.  I can't go into discussing that video without using swear words.  Watch if you dare.  Joshua's failure is complete by including it, clearly Joshua is going to be push religion in his "Reclaiming Science" series, in fact he was doing it in this article, but I am going to let it slide for now.  If religion rears its ugly head in third installment, the gloves will come off. (take my advice Joshua, stop now before you make a complete fool of yourself, you are already 70 percent there, stop now and shut your mouth before it is too late.)

So I am over at Ezra's Rebel Media Facebook page calling out Ezra on his biased bullshit as usual, and I get ask to provide ten stories where Ezra's E-FLAPs(1).  So I provide a short list of seven topics off the top of my head (no googling, just seven that come to mind at that moment in time)  The list I provide below, pay attention to the one I highlighted.

So i actually take the time to watch the whole video clip, you know, checking my facts and due diligence, making sure my memory of what was said was accurate and that rot,  Not to be out done, Karen doubles down on her stoopid and follows up with this lovely bit, my immediate response follows.

I politely point out that Karen is mistaken, and provide the actual quite from the video.  Wait, it gets better, Karen now insists on tripling down on her drooling STOOPID.

Yup she, she either invent that quote or spliced together two different quotes to make the false one she provided or she has a very serious comprehension problem, and this is AFTER I already provided the exact quote from the video.  I seriously can not tell if she knowingly manufacturing false quotes or if she so mind numbingly stoopid to see her own error, even after the correct quote was provided to her just one post prior *yeah, I am repeating that cause this is so mind numbingly idiotic on her part.

So either Karen

1. Has the reading/listening and comprehension level of a first grader, come on six year olds make these types of mistakes all the time, or
2. She is a bold face liar.

Either option explains perfectly Ezra's target audience. 

Let me tell you this, I am exercising extreme restraint in my writing over there at the Rebel Media Facebook page and here.  One year ago my language and tone would be some what different, and that is putting it politely.

To my Liberal friends sorry, but voting and supporting Bill C51 in any way shape or form is a deal breaker for me.  Welcoming Ex-Police Chief, Bill Blair into the Party and have him for an MLA in Ottawa shows even more bad judgement.  Look I was willing to give Trudeau a chance, I was willing to wait and see what he would deliver,... What he is willing to deliver seems be nothing more than a watered down version of Harper.  Thanks but no thanks.

I voted for the NDP only one other time in my life, and that was done because I could not stand Iggy (Iggy was my MP in my riding at the time), I certainly wasn't going to vote for the CPC clown who could even get his CPC scripted talking points out with out crib notes to read from.  The Green Party Candidate was a place filler who didn't know his arse from a hole in the ground.  So that left the NDP.  I hated voting for him, but he was the only intelligent one of the lot.

This time around I will be looking very hard at the NDP and Green Candidates in my Riding.  I will not even consider voting for the Liberals or CPC, both those parties are dead to me.

The Harper Government and CPC/Government lawyers who oppose Omar Khadr bail release was based on one single objection, that his bail release would jeopardize USA/Canada relations and US/Canadian treaties.  THAT'S IT!  Not that Omar was at risk of fleeing, not that he was at risk of re-offending, not that Omar was going to blow up Canadian Cities.  Their only objection was that if he was released it would risk US/Canadian diplomatic relations.  So what does the USA have to say?

The U.S. State Department says the release of former Guantanamo Bay detainee Omar Khadr would not harm diplomatic relations between Washington and Ottawa, one of the main arguments federal government lawyers are making to keep the 28-year-old behind bars.

“No,” a department spokesperson told the Toronto Star Friday when asked if his release would have any impact. “The United States has a close and co-operative relationship with the Government of Canada. We maintain continuous discussions on a broad range of issues, including security.”

Well that should end it right?  Nope I would not count on it.  I think the Harper Government doesn't want Omar free, where he can talk freely to the press, because what he might have something to say could be very damning of the actions of the CPC, Liberals, RCMP and CSIS and how they knowingly and willingly violated his rights and freedoms.  Yes people, even prisoners have rights and freedoms and if we do not respect those rights and freedoms even when they extend to most low and unworthy, then do not be surprised when yours are violated and there is no one left to defend them.

That being all said and done, there are some very serious issue surrounding Omar's trial and conviction, lets just put it this way, if the trial had been done in a normal Civilian Criminal Court of Law, huge amounts of the "evidence" that was used against him would have been thrown out.  Several of the charges would have been dismissed out right.  Of course you will not hear about these facts from Ezra Levant, Ezra is nothing more than paid propagandist for the CPC and Oil Industry in Canada and regularly makes shit up or lies by purposely omitting the truth and facts.  Please sue me Ezra! Cause I can back up each of these claims beyond a reasonable doubt (criminal level of proof, not civil level of balance of probability).  Ezra Levant is the modern day Joseph Goebbels of the RWNJ, Joseph Goebbels was the Fascist Propaganda Minister for Nazi Germany, Ezra is the Pseudo Fascist Propaganda Spokesman for the Harper Government and Free Market Big Energy/Oil Industry Oligarchy here in Canada.  The comparison is valid and fair.  Godwin's Law does not apply.  Ezra has made several videos about Omar "These are the Facts,..." Series, which are amazing devoid of facts, oh Ezra will pontificate about the facts he wants out there, but he never ever talks about all the facts. Also let us not forget Ezra has been sued more than any Reporter/Lawyer for defamation than I think anyone in Canada, well it certain seems that way.  He has been pulled in front of the Canadian Bar several time (I think there is one case right now), Ezra has been caught making crap up so often that it is safe to say that anything he states in public needs to fact checked first, and until then, it should not be given any weight until it is verified by independent sources.

At this point, if the Harper Government continues to object to Omar's bail release it is now firmly in the realm of Malicious Prosecution and those are grounds for a civil law suit people.  I say Omar should sue, he should sue Harper, the CPC, their Lawyers and Ezra.  He should seek maximum damages and not give an quarter. Now I have no idea if Omar and his lawyers would do this or not, but don't be surprised if they do, they definitely have the grounds now.
